Home Theater Screen
A home theater screen is for those people that want a true movie experience. Flat-screen televisions are great for people that just want a good viewing experience, but nothing beats a real movie screen. However, it is important to remember that a screen requires a great deal more room than does a television.
Aspect ratio is a key thing to consider when purchasing a home theater screen. Most flat-screen TV’s, as well as home projectors use a 16:9 aspect ratio, and so for most people, screens should also be designed the same. There are exceptions to this rule though.
If you prefer to watch classic movies or television shows, than a screen set for a different aspect ratio is recommended. Standard televisions use a 4:3 ratio; meaning that for every 4 units of width, there are 3 units of height. Some people also prefer a super-wide screen format which has a 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
