Home Theater Receiver
The home theater receiver is the heart and soul of any theater system. Sound is such an integral part of many of today’s movies that without adequate sound reproduction, the movie experience isn’t quite the same. The right receiver can make all the difference.
A home theater receiver usually does three basic things; allows various audio/visual components to be plugged in, transfers the signal from these components to either the television or speakers, and finally, contains some kind of radio tuner. The best receivers allow for multiple speakers to be plugged in, so as to allow for surround sound configurations.
Before buying a home theater receiver, it is recommended that one does some research. The variety of receivers currently on the market can sometimes be a bit confusing. And most importantly, the most expensive models aren’t necessarily the best.
