Home Theater Projector

There are three main types of home theater projector; CRT, LCD, and DLP. Each type of projector has its own unique characteristics. However, which to choose depends on what you’re looking for exactly.

The CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) home theater projector is the oldest of the three types. Despite their age, CRT projectors actually do have a few advantages over their more high-tech counterparts. The biggest advantage is that these projectors are capable of producing the entire color spectrum, and as such offer an experience most similar to that of real film.

The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and the DLP (Digital Light Processing) styles of home theater projector are the new kids on the block. These projectors use small processing chips to create the pictures projected on the screen. The DLP designs have really taken over a large section of the marketplace in recent years.
