Home Theater Lighting

Home theater lighting, while not essential, can add a bit of ambience to your theater. Anyone who’s ever been to a movie theater knows about the subdued lighting that prefaces the start of the show. Many people like to create this same feeling at home.

Wall sconces are the ideal when it comes to home theater lighting. These fixtures are normally placed on the sides and back of the room, meaning that the light isn’t as harsh as your average table lamp next to the couch. They can also be connected to a light fader, which can let you adjust the amount of ambient light with a single switch.

Many people add fiber optic home theater lighting to their private viewing rooms. Fiber optic, and LED lights can be found in a rope form, which allows them to be installed along floor boards and around doorways. They are available in many different colors, and some can actually be designed to change color whenever the mood suits you.
